ABOUT ScribeLight MUSIC

Scribe the light? What does that mean?

This concept is not beyond our understanding. People speak of muses, strange coincidences, intuitions, hunches, and times of pure inspiration everyday. They believe in the supernatural more than they think.

Markovich calls this light. Consider: it wasn’t just God’s voice but the SOUND of God’s voice that spoke into the darkness, and WHAM! There was light.

ScribeLight MUSIC (SLM) is the music publishing company of Judith Markovich, who believes that same light shines on the anointed music of the past, present, and future to bring a new sound through us. It is this same light we search for daily in our music.

IT IS NOT EXCLUSIVE TO A MUSICAL STYLE NOR DOES IT BEGIN WHERE WE STAND.

Whether for symphony, choir, classical chamber music, worship, or meditational CD, Judith Markovich is passionate about innovative, improvisational classical and sacred works full of light.

She weds the anointed sounds of great classical masters of the past and forerunners who rise in the forefront today.

Pretty nerdy sounding, huh?

Nevertheless, scribing the light is the heartfelt mission.

“I used to go over to my artist friend’s house in the early days of her career.

Week after week, month after month, her painting changed and grew to an incredible place of power and excellence as she worshiped and painted, painted and worshiped.

I saw the ones she over-polished, the ones she left too rough, and the ones that were just right.

Thirty years later, she is still growing and experimenting.

My hope is you will visit from time to time, like I did my friend. Watch, assured that a new sound is brewing and I have my running shoes on, tied, and broken in.

Bring it on!”
